Chapter 1, A New Beginning.
I didn’t know how much time has been passed.
But one thing I realized.
Everything was so cold.
Heavy rain poured onto me; the one who didn’t have
any shelter. Trickles of water against my skin. It made my brown, ragged fur
looks more bad than its supposed to be.
I’m afraid if I fell asleep, I wont wake up anymore.
Yet, the promise I’ve been made up with mama, made me couldn’t close my eyes
just by a single blink. I need to stay awake, so me and mama could be reunite
once again.
But, I cant… the cold just so unbearable.
I didn’t know when my eyes slowly to fade.
But, before the darkness overwhelmed my sense, I saw
something.
Something blurry, a shadow. And warm…
Something smelled delicious disturbed my sleep. My
triangle ears flicked slightly, as I blinked my hazy eyes several times.
I slowly realized that I wasn’t at the alley
anymore. Instead, this place looks like a someone’s house.
A comfy furnitures, warm brightness from the lamp,
and carpet, a table on the top of the carpet. Everything looks so different.
Yawned as I stretched my slender limbs, only to
realized that my paws wasn’t on the cold, rough pavement.
It was soft, and kind of bouncy. A sofa, I mused.
“Ah, you’ve been awake.”
My green, slanted eyes glanced up, I recognize
human’s voices. That is something we capable of, unlike the human.
And our gaze meet each other.
This human, unlike the other; she looks so old, with
the humourness twinkle in her eyes. Her smile; I recognize it was shown how old
her life is. Her wrinkles hands made their way onto me, softly stroked my fur;
now its brilliant brown, perhaps this old Lady washed me during my sleep?
Nevertheless, her stroke made me purred softly.
“Ah, you must be hungry.” The old lady whispered,
though only few words I could recognize. Hungry, which mean she will give me
food. And my thought predicted. She served me some nice smelled food in a small
plate. She must be didn’t the voice of my stomach, it was rumbled viciously.
And without any doubt, I dig in, munching and licking every spot my tongue could
reached.
And she seemed smiled; my sharp hears clearly heard
she was chuckling, and the soft pat has been given once again.
I didn’t know at first, why she treated me so
nicely. But my question answered as she spoke.
“Hello little kitten, I’m Kasih. And this is your
new home.”
